On November 15 and 16, the second edition of the 333 Experience Congress "Facilities and Environment" took place in Spain at the Palacio de Congresos - La Llotja de Lleida where the future of facilities and their commitment to the environment were discussed. More than 600 people, including engineers, veterinarians, livestock farmers, and technicians participated in person or online.
Through 333 Academy, the training program from 333 Corporate, more than 30 experts, including speakers and moderators, presented their knowledge and experiences throughout the two days in various sessions and round tables. During the first day, issues were addressed including the new regulations on animal welfare, the main challenges and doubts regarding new pig farm construction projects, the type of facilities companies are looking for, as well as case studies on BATs. On the second day, topics such as slurry valorization, field experiences related to biogas production, decarbonization of farms, and new tools available for slurry and emissions management were discussed.
We are grateful for the positive reception of the congress and the high level of professionalism from the experts. We would also like to thank the co-organizers: the College of Agricultural and Forestry Technical Engineers of Catalonia, the University of Lleida (UdL), the College of Agricultural Engineers of Catalonia, Interporc, and the Paeria; as well as all the sponsoring and collaborating companies that have been involved in the project.
