We present a new section called "Practical experiences in disease control".

Although we deem very important to publish and reveal the latest insights of the scientific investigations (which we already cover in other sections), we consider the on-the-farm experience very valuable.

With this idea in mind we have created sections such as "Tips on pigs", that expects to share small (or great) ideas that facilitate the everyday life on the farm, or "From lab to field", that hopes to put together the world of investigations with the everyday life of a pig farm.

The section that we present today follows that same path. In it, the swine field veterinarians will share their experiences in disease control. We start with an article that explains a pneumonia lesions evaluation protocol at the abattoir to obtain an index of pneumonia that can, in turn, be used in an economic assessment to know how the swine respiratory disease complex affects the company's financial management. You can read it HERE.
