Biocheck is a tool designed to objectively quantify the biosecurity level on pig farms. For years, Biocheck has been collecting data from producers globally and now the tool is available through Pig333 thanks to a strategic collaboration with Animal Data Analytics (ADA) and the prestigious Ghent University.
Biocheck represents a significant advancement in biosecurity assessment, offering swine producers an effective way to quantify and improve biosecurity practices in their facilities. By using this tool, areas for improvement can be identified and preventative measures can be taken to improve farm health and management.
How does Biocheck work? Users must complete a questionnaire that covers a wide range of subcategories related to internal and external farm biosecurity, from facility characteristics to animal handling protocols and supplies.
The tool gives you external and internal biosecurity results and a total score. You can compare your total score and the scores for each subcategory with the average score in your country and the world average.
