The cost of feed represents more than 60% of the total costs in pig production, so it is very important to know in detail each of the raw materials used to produce it. With this aim, we have asked David Solà, from the SNiBA (UAB, Spain), to design an data sheet of each of the common ingredients and additives used in the production of pig feed.

Up to now we have two active data sheets (barley and soybean), but we will periodically make the rest available. In each of the data sheets we provide statistical information about the production and exports/import of each ingredient, according to the FAS-USDA. The nutritional values according to the different tables: FEDNA (Spain), CVB (The Netherlands), INRA (France), NRC (USA) and Brazil are compared.

Each file also includes the last studies about each of the ingredients.

Access the data sheets' index HERE.
