Albert Juanola Llach
Technical specialist for livestock farms - Spain AuthorAlbert Juanola is currently in charge of the farm Can Violant (Agropecuaria Coperal) that has 1,050 breeding animals. He also oversees the finishing barns and collaborates with the company's other farms.
Over the last 25 years, Albert has worked on several pig farms in both commercial production and in genetic improvement companies. His professional career has been developed in the United Kingdom, France and Spain.
His areas of specialization include the recruitment, management and training of staff; the control, analysis, and improvement of production costs; adaptation to animal welfare laws; and the management and monitoring of construction projects, renovations and budgets.
Previously, he worked as the manager of the farm Muesa S.A. (Tarragona) which had 6,200 breeding females and 60 males in an AI stud, and as a production manager of Piensos Casadesus S.A. (Barcelona) managing the production of 7 farms with a total of 6,000 breeding animals.
From 1996 to 2000 he held various responsibilities in the European Genetic Nucleus of PIC Europe (Cazals, France) with 2,400 breeding females and 100 boars in an AI stud. He was in charge of Site I of the genetic Nucleus during his last two years there.
In 1995 he was trained at PIC UK's production facility, Fyfield Farm.
He has been involved in other projects in the digital world, always related to animal husbandry.
