Artur Jabłoński

National Veterinary Research Institute - Poland Author

He was born in 1976 and graduated at the Veterinary Faculty of the Lublin Agricultural University (Poland) in 2002. After graduating he worked for 1.5 years as a swine practitioner. He is a veterinarian in Swine Disease Department at the National Veterinary Research Institute in Pulawy, Poland, since 2003. Area of current research is mainly focused on diagnosis of the diseases, zoonosis (leptospirosis), pig herd health management. Other areas of expertise are: bacterial diseases, gross pathology.

14-Jun-2016costinVery good article. We have the same problem in Romania, and the problem it is in the delivery farms!
They use before transport animals feed with higher levels of sodium,(piglets start to drink a lot of water) after that they weight pigs and obtain more live weight!!!!
I see many case with all kind of disease, but I'm glad that you show the result:
PAR- negative, NPAR – positive
PRRSV: negative
Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae: positive
Aujeszky’s disease: negative
Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae: positive
SIV: positive
