Begoña Cebrián
CITA-IVIA - Spain AuthorBegoña Cebrian was born in Valencia in 1973. She graduated from the Technical Agricultural Engineering Faculty of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in 2000. Later, she continued her master studies within the Animal Production program at the same university in 2008.
Regarding her professional experience, from December 2005 to July 2007 she worked for TRAGSA as a technician on the projects “Cooperatives in the Valencian Community: maximizing its profitability” and “Detection and eradication program of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus in the Valencian Community”.
Subsequently, she was contracted by PIG TRAINING, S.L. where she developed her work as manager of a sow farm located in Valencia, for 5 years.
From October 2007 – present she has been working at the Centro de Investigación y Tecnología Animal of the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (CITA- IVIA) as a Technical Research Assistant where she works on topics related to sow management, nutrition trials in pigs and poultry and slurry treatment plants.
Throughout her career, she has taken part in diverse research projects both pubically and privately funded. The results of her research have been also published in national journals.
