Eva Creus (DVM, PhD) reached its expertise in food safety with the completion of his doctoral thesis entitled "Intervention measures for Salmonella control in pork production chain" at the University Autonomous of Barcelona (UAB).
Her experience on swine salmonellosis, both scientific and technical, and knowledge of the Spanish animal production industry has led Eva to participate as a speaker in several conferences and technical seminars. She has also organized several online and face-to-face training activities, published numerous works and carried out marketing and communication campaigns on this subject.
In addition to her work as a specialist in swine salmonelosis through her company Agrogestiic, Eva has developed its professional profile in the area of business management, particularly in the fields of marketing and personal management. She has a degree in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Leading Groups by the Gestalt Institute, Barcelona. She is currently specializing in executive and team coaching by the University of Lleida.

In the future, the EU will have to define its swine salmonellosis reduction objectives for each country depending on their starting point.
This chapter is intended as a roadmap for the development of a Salmonella control program for factories, a program whose aim should be to minimize Salmonella contamination, of any and all serotypes.
Feed is one of the risk factors in the epidemiology of salmonellosis and therefore, control of pathogens in the feed should continue to be considered an essential component of any control program for swine salmonellosis.
