Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the UAB. Research focused on viral diseases in pigs. Participation in nationally and European publicly funded projects and privately funded projects, many of them under GLP conditions and for product registration.

Extensive national and international experience in the dissemination of scientific knowledge and studies, with more than a hundred participations in industry knowledge transfer events.

Author of more than 50 scientific articles in international journals and three books on PRRS.

There are many open topics, such as: 1) what is the impact of the disease in endemic situations at the reproductive level (irregular return to estrus / fertility), especially in gilts; or 2) what is the productive impact in farrowing units, especially when we know that suckling piglets can play a role as a reservoir of the virus in an endemically infected farm.
