PhD in agricultural engineering - Spain AuthorBorn in Chantada (Lugo), I obtained my Doctorate in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Animal Feeding in 1985.
I am currently retired and I am dedicated to issues related to sustainability in livestock production.
From 1986 to 2021 I worked in Coren, where I was Director of the Nutrition and R&D Department since 1994, with extensive experience in nutrition and animal production.
Responsible for multiple research projects of the Eureka Program, CDTI, MAPA, INIA, Xunta de Galicia and VII Framework Program, in collaboration with universities and national and international research centers and national and international companies.
Co-director of 4 doctoral theses and participation in thesis tribunals at UPM, UAB, USC.
I have published 43 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and 44 communications in conferences.
Co-director of the 4 editions of the Master in Agri-Food Industries of the Caixanova Business School.
Member of several committees, among them FEDNA and GMP.GALIS.
Award of the month as an outstanding reviewer and Certificate of Review of 75 reviews 2016-2020 of Animal Feed Science and Technology.
Speaker at Coren with the Schothorst Research Center and Intercoop meetings from 2006 to 2021.
Technical Collaborator of the Ministry of Agriculture in the elaboration of the Zootechnical Bases for the balance of N and P from 2016 to 2021.
