Johannes Kauffold
University of Leipzig - Germany AuthorDr. Kauffold was graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Leipzig, Germany in 1996. He earned is Dr. med. vet. from the same Faculty in 1996, and is Dr. habil. in 2004. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Porcine Health Management and holds a degree as a German Specialist of "Swine" as well as of "Reproduction".
Between 1996-2007, he was employed at the Large Animal Clinic for Theriogenology and Ambulatory Services as a staff member and later moved into an Assistant Professor appointment. Between 2007 and 2010, he joint the School of Veterinary Medicine, New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania where he was working as a Swine Diagnostician in a Visiting Scholar Position and between 2009-2010 as an Assistant Professor. In 2011 he returned to Leipzig to obtain a Professorship for Population and Reproductive Medicine at the Large Animal Clinic for Theriogenology and Ambulatory Services, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Leipzig.
Kauffold provides field services to domestic and international swine producers and related organizations, as well as does research mostly related to swine reproduction.
