She obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Barcelona in 1996.

From 1996 to 2002 she worked at Provetsa Vic as the person in charge of the swine technical department.

In years 2002-2003 she enjoyed a 6-month residency in Brazil, cooperating with Consuitex in Brazil, a swine production consultancy company.

Since 2004, and together with Agustí Camprodon, she founded the company S. V. Camprodon Coma, SLP that works in the counselling and swine pathology for different companies in Catalonia.

At the farrowing quarters, the piglet eats almost once every hour, and it always eats while the rest of the litter is also eating.  At weaning, it is very important to provide additional feeders that allow the piglet to maintain that feeding pattern as a group. Additionally, creep feeders with water and feed facilitate learning.
