Laura Garza Moreno
Ceva Animal Health S.A. and IRTA-CRESA - Spain AuthorLaura Garza Moreno was born in Arándiga (Zaragoza, Spain). She graduated from the University of Zaragoza Veterinary College in 2013. Following graduation, Laura worked as an assistant researcher in various projects at Nutreco Swine Research Centre in the Netherlands. In 2014, she worked on PRRSV control projects under the supervision of Dr. Cinta Prieto at Complutense University of Madrid. While she was working, she obtained her a masters in virology at Complutense University of Madrid.
In 2019, she obtained her PhD at CReSA, with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) under Dr. Marina Sibila and Dr. Joaquim Segalés. Her thesis focused on the role of gilt acclimation in the control of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and the genetic diversity of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. During her doctorate, Laura spent six months at the University of Minnesota, under the supervision of Dr. Maria Pieters.
Through these investigations, Laura has had the opportunity to participate in several national and international congresses and has published in international scientific journals.
In 2019, Laura joined Ceva Animal Health S.A. as part of their technical swine service .
