Universidad Complutense de Madrid - Spain AuthorShe obtained her Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the Veterinary Faculty in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2004-2009) being “Extraordinary Degree Award”, and “Second National Award of Veterinary” of Spain. In 2009-2010 she obtained her “Master in Research of Veterinary Sciences” at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
In September of 2009, she joined the team of Professor Jose Manuel Sanchez-Vizcaino in order to do her doctoral thesis in African swine fever (ASF).
Since her incorporation in our team, she has participated in national and international congress, and conferences; as well as teaching courses about ASF in different parts of the world.
Her current work is dedicated to epidemiological analysis, modeling and analyzing the risk of ASF introduction in the European Union, as well as analyzing the possible risk factors of entry, spread and endemicity. She also works in laboratory techniques, validation and update of new diagnostic tests, focused on ASF diagnosis.
