Maria Font i Furnols

Dr. Maria Font y Furnols is an investigator at the IRTA (Food and Agriculture Investigation and Technology Institute), in the product quality programme.

She Works, above all, in matters related to carcass classification and the calibration of the equipment for carrying this out, the problems of boar taint and the assessment of the acceptability of meat from consumer studies. She also uses computerized tomography and the analysis of images for the evaluation of body composition of carcasses and live animals in different moments of their growth.

She has published several scientific articles in national and international journals.
