Miguel Ángel Higuera

Miguel Ángel Higuera is a veterinarian who graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid and has worked in several companies in the swine industry: Kubus, SA; Proinserga, SA; and ANPS. He is currently the director of ANPROGAPOR (National Association of Pig Producers) and is also an associate professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Alfonso X El Sabio. At European level he is the President of the Working Group on Animal Health and Welfare in Copa Cogeca and a member of several committees of experts of the European Commission such as the European Platform for Animal Welfare, the European Platform for Combating Antibiotic Resistance (both from DG Sante), and the Pigmeat Forecasting Committee of DG Agri. He participates assiduously in industry congresses and conferences both at national and international level, as well as in industry technical publications.
