Pedro José Llamas
University of Murcia and Import-Vet - Spain AuthorPedro José Llamas is an agricultural engineer from the Miguel Hernández University, in Elche (Spain), where he obtained an Honours Degree in Superior Engineering. He has studied the MSc degree "Biology and Technology of Reproduction in Mammals" from the University of Murcia (this degree is recognised by the National Quality Agency). Currently he is a student in the PhD programme “Biology and Technology of the Reproductive Health” from the International PhD School at the University of Murcia.
He is a specialist in pig reproduction and has developed his career for 8 years as Production Manager at PORCILORCA, SL's boar studs. During the last 12 years he has worked for IMPORT-VET, SA (this company being a pioneer in the development and implementation of the postcervical insemination) implementing new reproductive techniques. He also manages the quality assurance of AI centres at a national and international level. He is currently carrying out the implementation of the quality assurance system at the boar studs of the company CHERKIZOVO GROUP (Russia).
