Novus - Spain AuthorShe graduated in Veterinary Medicine/Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 1989. She later obtained her PhD with a thesis on the physiology of milk production in goats also from the UAB in 1994.
Researcher at the Hannah Research Institute (Scotland), she focused, for 1.5 years, on the physiology of lactation. From 1995, back in Spain, she became Associate Professor at the Department of Animal Production of the Faculty of Veterinary Science/Medicine of the UAB, a job that she combined, at the same department, with research on small dairy ruminants.
During that period and until 1999, she also carried out tasks such as being a consultant to different Farmers' Associations regarding dairy goats, working in coordination with the Department of Agriculture of the Government of Catalonia, and she also worked as a consultant in the field of animal pathology and nutrition for the Feed Division of Azucarera Ebro Agrícolas (Piensos CIA).
In 1999 she joined Industrial Técnica Pecuaria, S.A. (ITPSA), a company based in Spain and with a strong international activity that produces antioxidants, natural pigments and other supplements for animal nutrition. She held the post of Technical Documents and Registers Manager until 2006, and she later become Technical Manager until 2010.
In 2010 she joined Novus International Inc. as Regulatory Affairs Senior Manager for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In 2014 she accepted the post of Technical Services Executive Regional Manager for Europe and the Middle East in the same company, and she currently holds that post.
During her career she has published more than 10 articles in several international journals and more than 40 technical articles in magazines in the animal nutrition and production sector. She has also given conferences and presented research work in more than 40 symposia and congresses in different countries around the world.
