University of Maryland - United States AuthorDr. Wei Zhang obtained her Masters degree in animal science from China Agricultural University in 2011 and her Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 2014. She completed a one-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is currently a post-doctoral scholar working with Dr. Chad H. Stahl in the Animal and Avian Sciences Department at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research focuses on nutritional metabolism and energy regulation in a variety of models, including chicken, rodents and swine. Her current research is targeted towards the nutritional programming of swine mesenchymal stem cells and the impact of neonatal nutrition on lifetime growth potential.
