RME2016 is the 11th conference in the Rapid Methods Europe series dedicated to innovations and breakthroughs in microbiological and chemical analysis of food, feed and water. This 11th edition will incorporate new developments in the human and animal diagnostics field for the first time, too.

RME2016 aims to further strengthen the academia-industry relations and to further disseminate advanced research towards practical applications. Conference topics include, but are not limited to ...

sampling and sample preparation
multi-analyte detection
simple and cost-effective technologies
alternative biosensors and recognition elements
scientific solutions for industry
outlook for future analytical advances

... for microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, parasites), chemical contaminants, mycotoxins and plant toxins, allergens, GMOs, pesticide/veterinary drug residues, and nanoparticles, as well as for authenticity, traceability and fraud.

The above considerations do not only apply to humans but also to animals, such as pigs, poultry, cattle, horses, dogs and cats, as well as to aquaculture. Species differences also play a role here.

RME2016 features:

Plenary lectures & parallel sessions
Reviews and case studies
Poster sessions.
The Advisory Committee particularly encourages students to submit abstracts for poster presentations. A number of abstracts will be selected for 5-minute talks.
Workshops & vendor demonstrations
Instrument & manufacturers exhibition

As a comprehensive overview, RME2016 offers an excellent way to network and to share ideas, providing a reference source for anyone wishing to gain insight into the latest developments in microbial and chemical analysis of food, feed and water, and recent advances in human and animal diagnostics.
