The AveSui EuroTier South America trade fair has been declared a success after attracting more than 16,000 visitors between the 23rd and 25th July. AveSui EuroTier South America is the first of three new EuroTier-branded trade fairs being held for the first time outside Germany during 2019 culminating in EuroTier in Hanover from 17-20 November 2020, the world’s largest trade fair for animal farming professionals.
The EuroTier brand is recognized worldwide for its competence in bringing together the latest and most innovative livestock equipment and technology under one roof along with a global network of experts sharing knowledge on the most relevant and trending topics in the sector. EuroTier joined forces with AveSui this year to create this global platform and adapted it to the specific market needs in South America
The first of three new EuroTier-branded events being held during 2019, AveSui EuroTier South America 2019 benefitted from DLG’s experience in organising the world’s largest trade fair for the animal production sector by offering visitors the broadest ever technical programme. Topics discussed at the event included issues that specifically affect farmers in South and North America.
The DLG Forum provided in-depth analysis of modern livestock farming with presentations on the 23rd and 24th of July. Topics under discussion included: the influence of digitisation and automation on dairy breeding; how to improve and establish a high health status pig herd; disease prevention and control in pigs; and the influence of digitisation and automation on pig production.
In addition, DLG’s Agrifuture Insights premiered its results from Brazil for the first time providing producers and organizations interested in doing business in the region with valuable information on the business environment, trends and technology.
DLG’s department manager for business development and sales, Jens Kremer, said he was pleased with the result of AveSui Eurotier South America 2019.
“The event benefitted from a tangible global flair that could be seen in the technical programme and the new exhibitors from Europe that attended the event,” Kremer added. “DLG’s mission is to promote agriculture across borders. The EuroTier trade fair where livestock professionals come together to share their experience is an excellent example of that. EuroTier was able to extend this feel here in Brazil,” said Kremer.
AveSui EuroTier South America 2019 included exhibitors from Brazil and worldwide that play vital roles in the poultry, pig, fish and dairy production chains. Product categories on show on the 3,000 square metres of exhibition space included: equipment for feed mills; equipment for poultry farms; genetics and artificial insemination; inputs and seeds; nutrition, veterinary products; traceability and certification; management software.
“It has been an amazing experience delivering for the first time a EuroTier branded trade fair outside of Germany in a critical agriculture and animal husbandry hub like Paraná, Brazil” said Saskia Zuleger Project Manager at DLG International GmbH. “Exchange of technical know-how, gathering valuable market insights and creating a platform for experts to network is crucial to the future of farming and AveSui EuroTier South America provided our stakeholders with the perfect platform to do that” added Zuleger.
