ACO FUNKI A/S acquires Egebjerg

The acquisition is a natural part of ACO FUNKI A/S' growth strategy and will, among other things,
strengthen the company's position both on the Danish market and foreign markets.

ACOACO FUNKI A/S in Herning that offers equipment and feeding systems for pig farmers, has entered into an agreement to acquire all the assets of the competing companies; Egebjerg International, Master Trading and Chima.

The acquisition is a natural part of ACO FUNKI A/S' growth strategy and will, among other things, strengthen the company's position both on the Danish market and foreign markets. Egebjerg International’s product portfolio will be maintained and sold from ACO FUNKI A/S’ office in Herning. Master Trading will continue as before and becomes an independent company owned by ACO FUNKI A/S and driven from office in Herning.

ACO FUNKI A/S has been engaged in the production and sale of farm equipment since 1935 and currently supplies complete solutions for pig producers worldwide. Furthermore, ACO FUNKI A/S has several sales offices around Europe, Russia and China. With the acquisition of Egebjerg International, Master Trading and Chima the position on the market will be strengthened, and ACO FUNKI A/S is able to offer customers a wider range of products.

ACO FUNKI A/S has decided to take advantage of the synergy that is obtained by consolidating all stock activities at the company’s address in Herning.
By centralizing the stock, ACO FUNKI A/S gains lower freight costs, higher volume of purchases, and less administration. Ultimately, this will benefit customers in the form of shorter processing time and quality products at competitive prices.

ACO FUNKI A/S has generated positive results over the past four years and has a strong share capital, and the company has been a part of the German ACO Group since 2004. The ACO Group is a financially strong owner with more than 3,500 employees worldwide.

In 2013 ACO Group decided to consolidate all business concerning agriculture at ACO FUNKI A/S in Herning.
This meant that several stocks was moved and many items were integrated into ACO FUNKI A/S' product range. Because of this, ACO FUNKI A/S is able to lift the huge task it is to integrate Egebjerg International and Master Trading’s products in the existing product range.
