Russian cattle and pig farms are looking to modern reproductive technologies to lift their productivity. Supporting this government-backed drive for modernisation in animal husbandry, the AgroFarm exhibition will offer an extensive range of solutions targeted at the Russian market.
A leading trade fair for animal production and breeding in Russia organised by DLG International and All Russian Exhibition Center, AgroFarm 2014 takes place on 4-6 February 2014 in Moscow, Russia. As one of the key topics, the subject “Reproductive Technologies and Livestock Development” will receive wide coverage at AgroFarm 2014.
In order to increase cattle and pig stock in Russia, modern reproductive technologies and techniques are required. Supporting this need, the AgroFarm exhibition will this year include a comprehensive area exploring a large range of suitable options and solutions for the Russian market.
A special focus area at AgroFarm, Information Center aims to show modern reproductive techniques to further increase the productivity of cattle and pig livestock. The exhibition will provide extensive information on the following areas:
- Estrus stimulation
- Pregnancy detection and monitoring
- Artificial insemination
- Administration and management of animal restocking
The Information Center includes international companies and experts presenting Solutions. The centre enables farming visitors the opportunity to choose appropriate solutions that optimise and intensify the reproduction processes on their own farms.
Russians experts will be participating in seminars and workshops addressing topics such as pregnancy detection, oestrus stimulation and synchronisation, optimal timing of insemination, and the use of ultrasound scanners. Herd management systems for heat detection as well as proper use of pharmaceuticals for synchronisation and optimisation of the processes of reproduction are also highlighted.
To supplement the Information Center, two conferences on reproduction will take place on 5 February focusing on how to increase cattle and pig stock using modern reproductive technologies, each taking place in the pig and cattle forums respectively.
Speakers include Professor Uwe Hühn, consultant and formerly from the Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Berlin and Rostock, Jon Mouncey, director at West Point Veterinary Group, Professor Boris Pankov, consultant at DIAGENIS and previously at in The State Moscow Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology also known as Skryabin and other acknowledged experts in matters of reproduction.
Two separate meetings on cattle and pig artificial insemination respectively will be held on 6 February. They will show how reproduction processes are organised in an advanced farm, enabling farming visitors to judge and decide on innovative methods suitable to their own business.
A range of other events and meetings dedicated to the reproduction topic will be presented throughout the exhibition.
The information center "Use of assisted reproductive technologies for livestock development " is located in Hall 75A, stand C2, across from the main entrance. Participation in all events of the professional program is free with pre-registration required.
