Agromek ended with a total number of visitors amounting to 46,919. This was 1,600 higher than the total for 2012.
The Chairman of Agromek, Managing Director Sten Andersen, Dan Egtved A/S has stated the following: “Agromek 2014 has fulfilled all our expectations”.
Sten Andersen was pleased by the fact that the number of visitors continued to be so high – although he felt that this was not a decisive factor for an exhibition.
Sten Andersen continued: “I have gained a clear impression from my conversations with many of our exhibitors that this has been a excellent exhibition and that the participating farmers have shown genuine interest. I must admit, that I was rather nervous prior to the exhibition, that there would be a negative effect due to the current challenges facing the farming sector – but this has definitely not been the case. There has been a really good atmosphere and it has been evident that there are still many farmers and contractors who are more than ready to develop their farms and businesses.”
Sten Andersen could also provide information that many transactions have been made regarding tractors and large and small machines and implements during the four days of the exhibition.
Sten Andersen was also pleased that Agromek has been successful in attracting such an impressive number of suppliers to the agricultural sector.
The Chairman concluded: “We have worked intensively for many years towards the attainment of the exhibition’s current status. It is therefore very satisfactory that we have been successful in creating a complete, combined exhibition.”
