New Product stars have been presented to 247 New Product exhibits at Agromek 2016 – the largest combined agricultural exhibition in Northern Europe – which will take place during the period 29th November – 2nd December in the MCH Exhibition Centre at Herning in Denmark.
The evaluation and presentation of the Agromek Stars has just been completed and the results can be seen on www.agromek.dk.
This is the third largest number of New Product exhibits since 2002, when the current regulations for evaluation and presentation of stars were introduced.
Agromek’s Chairman, Sten Andersen has stated: “This shows that Agromek exhibitors work hard to develop machines, equipment and other products which can help both domestic and foreign farmers to improve efficiency and to make the daily work operations easier.”
The Chairman is also pleased that these New Product exhibits originate from a broad spectrum of exhibitors. This year, the star products are produced by a total of 128 companies.
Sten Andersen continued: “There are both major concerns and many smaller companies that have made the decision to present their New Products at Agromek. We are very proud of our success in this matter.”
The approved New Product exhibits are classified with one, two or three Agromek stars.
Two or three stars indicate that this is a product which is new on the market. One star designates that the product is New from the Company but that comparative products are already available on the market.
The three-star New Product exhibits will be presented with official signs bearing information as to whether the product is New in Europe or New in Denmark.
Out of the total of 22 three-star New Products at Agromek 2016, 11 are New in Europe and 11 are New in Denmark. 51 New Products have been approved and classified with two stars.
Nomination for Agromek Awards
All two-star and three-star New Product exhibits are automatically candidates in the competition for Agromek Awards in eight different categories.
These Awards are presented in accordance with the practical value of the products in relation to the expectations of qualified farmers and other users.
At an early stage, three New Products are nominated in each category. Nominations are published at the beginning of November.
The winners of Agromek Awards will be presented at the opening of the Agromek Exhibition on 29th November.
Domestic and foreign publicity
Agromek prepares informative press releases in Danish, English and German regarding all two-star and three-star New Product exhibits. These press releases contribute to providing extra publicity regarding these New Product exhibits.
In accordance with the exhibitors’ wishes, 18 of the approved 244 New Product exhibits will first be published at a later date.
