AANG will also develop a wider range of feed-use amino acid products for nutrition, and accelerate the development of these value-added products for its customers.

Ajinomoto Co., Inc., which has been a front runner of feed-use amino acids since starting its L-Lysine business in 1965, has always grown in anticipation of our customers needs all over the world. The growth was achieved by creating new values and demands of the feed-use amino acids by efficient production (i.e. highest level of technology) and the tailor-made technical marketing activities in each region for almost a half century.

AANG, by means of technical innovations and adapted regional marketing forces, will continue to lead the creation of the global market of feed-use amino acids. AANG seeks to contribute to more efficient use of limited agricultural resources for a growing global food demand, meeting the increasing demands of the livestock industry, to output more meat under efficient and environmentally-friendly productive systems.

AANG will be working on the following actions, year by year, step by step, region by region, in the course of the coming five years.

- L-Lysine production capacity will be increased gradually by 150 KMT, L-Threonine by 80 KMT including a third party alliance, L-Tryptophan by 7 KMT. Introduction of cutting-edge technologies will strengthen our cost competitiveness by the next generation technology innovations as "fermentation with less resource consumption" and "non food starch based fermentation".

- A wider range of feed-use amino acids products will be offered on a larger scale to the world feed market, of which: L-Valine and L-Isoleucine, AminoGut ®, a combination of L-Glutamine and Glutamic acid for intestinal gut function optimization, and AjiProTM-L, a rumen protected L-Lysine product, launched in 2011.

Ajinomoto will continue to reliably supply feed-use amino acids to its customers, supporting the growing needs of the feed, livestock and pet food industries.
