Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER), in partnership with ISU, has undertaken an initiative to define and document the critical importance of sustainability in the animal food industry. This collaboration has resulted in comprehensive insights focusing on three key sustainability pillars: People, Planet, and Governance. Each pillar has real-life company examples, showcasing the value, action and benefit of each company’s sustainability commitment.

APC is proud to be featured by IFEEDER for its substantial contributions to sustainability within the Animal Food Industry. Working in collaboration with Iowa State University (ISU), IFEEDER has created an “Animal Food Industry Sustainability Toolkit” and highlighted APC's leadership in two pivotal pillars: People and Planet.

"We are honored to be recognized by IFEEDER for our commitment to sustainability," said David Dirks, Chief Operating Officer at APC. "At APC, we understand the critical importance of sustainable practices in ensuring the long-term health of our industry and our planet. We remain committed to continuous improvement across all aspects of sustainability."

In the Sustainability Toolkit, you will find APC leading the way in:

1. People, Feed & Food Safety

  • APC's initiatives in ensuring the safety and quality of feed and food products demonstrate its commitment to the well-being of consumers and stakeholders alike.

2. Planet: Energy Use, Waste, Water Usage

  • APC's efforts in optimizing energy use, managing waste, and conserving water showcase its proactive approach to reducing environmental impact.

APC's recognition in this industry toolkit highlights its leadership and dedication to sustainability. By prioritizing sustainable practices, APC not only enhances operational efficiency but also contributes positively to environmental stewardship and community well-being.
