With WeightCheck, Big Dutchman presents an innovation that uses artificial intelligence (AI) in combination with a camera to “weigh” piglets and finishers – with an impressive accuracy of 98.5 percent over the entire finishing period. For this visual detection of pig weights, the producer only needs to provide electricity and a permanent internet connection.
The camera is installed preferably above the feeders or the drinkers. Here, the pigs will stand still for a certain time, during which they are measured. AI and 10,000 to 20,000 images per day, analysed by WeightCheck using a special self-learning algorithm, provide farmers with a very exact overview of the pigs’ weight gain.
The result: narrow time slots defined by the slaughterhouse can be met and the farm profits increase.
