BioChek Group announces Thomas Struckmeyer as new CEO

We are happy to announce that Thomas Struckmeyer has accepted the role as CEO of the BioChek Group, consisting of BioChek BV and Biotecon Diagnostics GmbH.

Thomas will take over the leadership of the BioChek Group with effect as of December 12th, 2020 and succeed Barend van Dam, who will at the same time move into the position as chairman of the supervisory board of the BioChek Group. In this function Barend will contribute his broad experience and knowledge of the company to support Thomas in his essential role.

Thomas brings to BioChek more than 20 years of management experience in the diagnostic industry with focus on food safety as well as animal health. Until recently he worked for dentiGEN, an internationally leading organization in the food safety business. During his career he was involved in a number of product and market related management roles, most recently as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development and as CEO.

Barend states: “I’m looking forward to handing over my responsibilities to Thomas. With his deep insight in all areas of the diagnostics business, his strong customer focus and track record in successfully developing existing and new businesses, Thomas is the ideal person to continue the successful development of the BioChek Group.”
