Biomin plans to launch a number of new initiatives that will strengthen its stance in the United States, including direct shipping and two product launches at the World Pork Expo in Des Moines this June.
Since January, Biomin has invested heavily in serving customers directly which ultimately will create efficiency gains. “This improved service means a stress-free delivery process for procurement teams,” Ruben Beltran, Managing Director of BIOMIN United States, adding that “large integrations and feed mills will notice a real difference.”
BIOMIN will unveil two new products –Biofix® PRO and Biotronic® Top3– that complement the firm’s current U.S. product offering which already includes Biofix®, PoultryStar® and Digestarom®.
Biofix® PRO
BIOMIN will introduce Biofix® PRO, an innovative solution formulated specifically for the American livestock industry that is designed to counteract naturally-occurring metabolites found in feed ingredients known to compromise animal health and performance.
“The new Biofix® PRO formulation draws on the latest scientific research, cutting-edge proprietary technologies and two decades of experience meeting the needs of livestock producers in the U.S.,” said Dr. Simone Schaumberger, Mycotoxin Risk Management Product Manager at BIOMIN. “We have seen great in vitro success that has been borne out by robust in vivo results,” she added.
In support of the launch of Biofix® PRO, Biomin will introduce a new package of services —the Biomin® PROcheck— that will provide fully customized solutions for key account clients. The 5-step plan includes tracking and monitoring of feed and feed ingredient samples, on-farm consultancy including differential diagnosis and herd/flock analysis, practical training, tailor-made solutions, and support with a suite of analytical tools.
“With the Biomin® PROcheck, we’re addressing the root causes of numerous production issues related to health and performance of livestock, and working closely with customers using the latest scientific developments to improve the profitability,” noted Dr. Raj Murugesan, Technical & Marketing Director of BIOMIN America.
Biotronic® Top3
Biomin will also introduce Biotronic® Top3, an acid-based pathogen control product for swine which recently gained FDA compliance. “Good feed hygiene is essential for the livestock industry,” noted Dr. Attila Kovacs, Global Product Line Manager for Acidifiers at BIOMIN. “In recent years we have seen a number of large-scale modern operations across the world achieve real improvements using Biotronic® Top3 to support feed hygiene. We think that there’s a similar opportunity in the U.S.,” he remarked.
