As of 1 January Carel Weijand has been appointed as Director Operations of Fancom BV. Carel combines these tasks with his current position at PigTek Europe where in the past 4 years he has already been working as Operations Manager.
At the end of last year both companies have decided to join forces in order to be able in the project sales to offer a complete range of housing equipment to pig farmers worldwide. As Director Operations he has the final responsibility over the operational management of both companies.
Carel Weijand graduated from the Higher Nautical College in Vlissingen and has completed MBA at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin. In his new position Carel brings with him extensive knowledge and experience in the field of process improvement, personal development and connecting departments and companies.
As people manager he is able to stimulate a positive working environment. This way he wishes to give a valuable contribution to the integration of PigTek and Fancom: “I see it as a personal challenge in the cooperation between Fancom and PigTek to lift the operational processes to a higher level so that the ultimate effect of the cooperation is bigger than each of the separate parties could ever achieve on its own. I am convinced that together we can strengthen our position in the market and that we can be of even better service to our customers”.
