To bring to participants the main novelties of the world’s pig industry, the IPVS2022 Congress (International Pig Veterinary Society), the most important technical and scientific event of the world’s pig industry, has the support of the major companies in the sector. The event will take place in Rio de Janeiro from June 21st to 24th 2022, on the theme of “New perspectives for the swine industry: biosafety, productivity and innovation”.

The swine industry has undergone major changes in the last years. “Latin America has around 4 million sows, 2 million of which only in Brazil. Ceva understands the actual challenges and opportunities of the sector, it is a partner of the industry and works along each pig farmer to contribute for the sustainability, profitability and efficiency of this production chain. Thus, participating at IPVS2022, which gathers the main world’s specialists in pig health, wellbeing, nutrition and breeding, allows us to contribute to the discussion on the best practices for the sector”, says Marina Monteiro, product manager of Ceva’s Swine Unit.

A discussion that adds value to the pig industry

Zoetis is committed to stimulating Research and Development to offer solutions to the swine industry, many of which raised from issues discussed in events such as the IPVS congresses, which contribute to the promotion of animal health and wellbeing at all production phases throughout the pig production chain.

We expect that the IPVS2022 will be a meeting which will promote discussions of high technical level, exchange of experience and present new technologies to the market. It brings together the whole production chain with renowned professionals of the national and international scientific community, to stimulate the development of the Brazilian and international pig industry”, says Evandro Poleze, Business Director of Vivax and Regulatory Issues in Brazil.

Great expectations

For Gustavo Simão, Veterinary Services manager of Agroceres PIC, the expectation of IPVS2022 is very positive. “Along the more than 50 years of existence, the IPVS congresses became famous for the quality of their scientific programs and for gathering renowned researchers, specialists and professionals of the world’s pig industry to debate the main challenges of the global swine production, leading to innovative and effective solutions for the development of the industry...”

Substantial Scientific Program

According to Gabriela Oliveira, Poultry and Swine marketing specialist of Ourofino Saúde Animal, IPVS congresses are the most eagerly expected events in world’s pig sector, because they historically present excellent scientific programs and promote the meeting of professionals from several parts of the world.

“It is an honour to participate in an event that promotes the exchange of knowledge related to swine health and production, as well as cooperation between producers. Besides, the congress comes back to Brazil after 32 years, in its most modern version, bringing the hybrid format of the event. This format, besides reaching a larger audience, shows the capacity to adapt in face of unexpected challenges, the same capacity that farmers have to produce swine with quality, wellbeing and exceptional health.”

Meet partners and customers again

Magapor will use IPVS2022 to strengthen the links with its customers in South America. “In the last 10 years, Magapor attained high market ratings in nearly all American countries and IPVS2022 shall reinforce this position. We know how important the Congress is for the whole continent, and how willing our customers are to meet again and be part of major events”, says Jesus Mena, Magapor General Director.
