DanBred have acquired a fleet of seven Closed Filtered Trucks (CFT) and one van. The deal has been made with the Danish live animal haulage company SPF-Danmark A/S, and seven truckdrivers, who were affected by the deal, have accepted to relocate and become new employees in DanBred.
It is an ambition for the company to have its own fleet of CFT-trucks, and CEO in DanBred, Thomas Muurmann Henriksen, is pleased, that the negotiations with SPF-Danmark A/S, who made the divestment of the fleet, proved successful.
– DanBred aims to establish a significant in-house transport capacity in the years to come. As the demand for safe transportation, emphasising good animal welfare and high biosecurity, increases, it also becomes an essential element in how customers make their choice of breeding company and breeding animals, says CEO in DanBred Thomas Muurmann Henriksen regarding the investment.
Welcome to seven new employees
The investment counts seven CFT-trucks and one van, which is now under DanBred ownership, and is targeted primarily for exports to customers and suppliers in Europe. With the acquisition of the CFT-trucks DanBred is also expanding the numbers of employers.
– As part of the acquisition, we offered the implicated drivers in SPF-Danmark A/S employment in DanBred, and we are happy to welcome them as part of the DanBred-team, Thomas Muurmann Henriksen explains.
The formal acquisition of the fleet is on the 9th of July 2018.
