Europorc Congress opens borders and gathers the best international professionals from the stockbreeding, agriculture, economy, veterinary science and food industry. In the congress they will discuss their economical situation of anticyclical behavior (in these specially delicate moments for the rest of the sectors), the new technological advances, the animal health into the food industry and the consequences of welfare animal law. Moreover, there will be different round tables presided by recognized professionals.

Europorc Congress 8th edition starts, organized by Institut Municipal de Promoció i Economia de Vic, La Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona, Caixa Manlleu, and El Departament d’Agricultura, Alimentació i Acció Rural de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

This edition represents a great impulse towards the internationalization and quality of the event, in which, well-known professionals as Mr. Carlo Trojan, former ex-secretary of the European Commission, and president of the International Food & Agricultural Trade Policy Council; Mr. Xavier Sala Martín, economist and professor in Universitat de Columbia and Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona; Mr. Manfred Kern, Manager of Bayer Corp. Science in Germany; among others.

This year Poland will participate as guest-country, first pork producing country from the east of Europe. This business meeting will be about carrying out negotiations with an extensive economical return.

There will be lectures, round tables, and a commercial area where all kinds of representatives from the sector will be found.
