As this year’s EuroTier trade show saw record-breaking attendance, the Lallemand Animal Nutrition team was pleased to present its range of proven yeast and bacteria based solutions to an international audience. “Our visitors expressed particularly strong interest in our latest innovations YANG and MELOFEED, but also in the well-established and proven solutions such as the probiotic yeasts LEVUCELL SC and LEVUCELL SB or the organic selenium source ALKOSEL, that have been successfully established on the German market for years and that are now directly marketed in Germany since June 2016.“ states Dr. Christian Scheidemann, Country Business Manager Germany.

Under the motto “fermentation is our passion”, Lallemand Animal Nutrition was pleased to welcome partners and customers to the booth for a German-French happy hour on Thursday, 17 November. About 150 guests accepted the invitation and rounded off a successful day at the trade fair with tasty fermented drinks (French wine and German beer) and country-specific finger food snacks.
YANG (Yeast Association New Generation) is an innovation born of Lallemand research. It is a synergistic alliance of different strains of inactivated yeasts (including Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Cyberlindnera jadinii) that supports animals during stressful and challenging conditions such as weaning, feed transitions, and sanitary challenges. YANG can be used in most feed production processes.
MELOFEED is a natural highly concentrated source of the primary antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD). The product is gained from freeze-dried melon juice and is marketed for animal nutrition purposes exclusively by Lallemand. Applied separately or in combination with other antioxidants like ALKOSEL, MELOFEED supports the antioxidative status of the animals and significantly increases their immune defence. Not only, but especially in stress situations like the peripartum phase, in times of heat stress or after weaning.
