Kicking off next week, EuroTier 2024 continues to attract a high level of visitor and exhibitor interest in the world's leading trade fair for professional animal husbandry and livestock management continues. The DLG (German Agricultural Society), the organizer, has registered more than 2,200 exhibitors. The trade fair taking place in Hanover, Germany, 12-15 November 2024, will be offering its visitors a comprehensive exhibitor and technical programme on 220,000 square meters of exhibition space. Exhibiting companies and organizations hail from 51 countries.
With more than 2,200 exhibitors across 13 entire halls on some 220,000 square meters of exhibition space and a top-class international technical program, EuroTier will once again be the highlight of the international livestock industry. Under this year's main theme of “We innovate animal farming”, exhibitors will be showcasing current innovative approaches and strategies that can contribute to increasing efficiency, sustainability and animal welfare.
DLG Spotlights on key topics in the industry
The DLG Spotlights provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of current issues in the industry:
- The DLG Spotlight “Pig Farming without tail docking”, Hall 15, Stand D29, explores tail docking alternatives and aims to enable investment decisions - in infrastructure, management and sales - that pay off for both animals and humans in the long term. In addition to exhibits and informative display panels from the co-exhibitors of the Spotlight, strategies and approaches from industry and practice will be presented on the adjacent ‘Pig’ Expert Stage.
- A must for national and international breeders is the TopTierTreff – “Top genetics venue” in Hall 11, where leading international breeding companies and organizations for dairy and beef cattle present live the breeds Holstein Frisian, Angler, Swiss brown, Fleckvieh, Grauvieh as well as Pinzgauer, Angus, Charolais, Galloway, Hereford and Wagyu. Various breeds of sheep, goats and horses round off the show.
- The DLG Spotlight ‘AI in poultry farming’, Hall 17, Stand E48, will showcase and impressively illustrate the possibilities that the constantly advancing developments in the field of automation and digitalization in poultry production offer. In the dedicated area, start-ups and established companies will present AI-based solutions, from in-ovo sex determination to animal welfare and health monitoring.
- The “Solar Transition” spotlight, Hall 25, Stand L10, at EnergyDecentral 2024 trade fair, which takes place in parallel with EuroTier, offers visitors free initial consultations on the opportunities and possibilities of photovoltaic use for agricultural businesses.
- The ‘Inhouse Farming’ spotlight will take place in Hall 24, Stand C30, and will showcase practical solutions for the automated breeding of insects and the production of algae as high-quality protein feed, aquaculture as well as vertical farming in circular economy systems.
