Along with timely industry news and information, swine producers connected with the Feeding for 30TM Program on Facebook will find material that is relevant to optimizing performance from the gestation and farrowing barns through the growing phases. Page posts and discussions will include information on: sow nutrition, reproduction, colostrum quality, birth weights and lactation performance for optimal pre-weaning pig growth and lifetime production.

“The success of the swine industry hinges on our ability to maintain healthy and productive sows,” says Elena Lindemann, lactating livestock marketing director with Land O’Lakes Purina Feed LLC. “The Feeding for 30TM program is more than just producing 30 pigs per sow per year. It’s about helping producers reach the goal of 30 pigs per sow per year that meet their full potential at weaning,” she explains. “The tips that producers can find on the Feeding for 30TM Facebook page can help producers to meet these goals without compromising sow health.”
