Lallemand Animal Nutrition has marked the launch its educational program dedicated to probiotic solutions for monogastric species by organizing the first technical visit of Lallemand Monogastric Centre of Excellence.
For the occasion, the research platform located within the University of Nottingham, UK, has welcome around fifteen clients and distributors for a very special day, combining technical presentations with practical laboratory sessions around the themes: “Gut functions and role of the digestive microbiota”. First half of the day was dedicated to gut efficacy, with a presentation about the digestive and barrier functions of the gut, completed by pig gut dissection and histological observations in the lab. The afternoon focused on the discovery of the digestive microbiota with microbiology experiments and the demonstration of molecular characterization techniques.
True to Lallemand Animal Nutrition’s mission, the team was willing to favor education and exchanges between the participants, by deliberately choosing general topics which allowed to better understand the stakes of pig nutrition as well as current research axis for probiotic feed additives.
The participants enjoyed the event, praising the quality of its content and the originality of the program. Lallemand Animal Nutrition team is now ready to do renew the experiment!
