Fort Dodge Animal Health, a division of Wyeth (NYSE: WYE), has appointed David Medina, DVM, to the position of International Business Manager for Swine products.

As International Business Manager for swine products, Dr. Medina is responsible for providing support and leadership to the Fort Dodge swine teams throughout the world, maintaining an ongoing international strategic planning process and supporting strong international participation in new product and business development initiatives.

Dr. Medina started his career at Fort Dodge Animal Health in 2004 and was previously the Business Unit Director for Poultry and Swine products in Mexico. Prior to joining Fort Dodge, he gained extensive industry experience in positions of increasing scope and responsibility across a wide range of species.

Dr. Medina earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in 1989 and went on to achieve a Diploma in Business Administration for the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industry from UNAM in 1991. In April of 2008, he was jointly awarded a Master of Business Administration from Thunderbird University, The Garvin School of International Management and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
