Nedap Livestock Management, a global leader in livestock management systems, announces the hiring of Robert Drew to its growing U.S. swine technology team. Drew joins the team as a sales and application manager to support producers with the design and implementation of automated swine management technology, including electronic sow feeding (ESF) for sows in large groups.
This new position will benefit U.S. producers who have installed or want to install automated individual feeding systems on operations of all sizes.
“Producers are continuously wanting to improve production and performance of their operations,” says Brad Carson, vice president, Nedap Livestock Management USA. “Robert’s knowledge and expertise is exactly what we’re looking for to put our customers first so their facilities can be the most efficient and profitable.”
Drew brings with him an extensive background of more than 30 years in swine management and production, recently serving in ESF equipment sales and as an independent consultant for the design, development and start-up of large-scale ESF operations. Before moving to the U.S. in 1993, Drew managed his own pig operation in the U.K. He graduated from Norfolk College of Agriculture with a degree in general agriculture and advanced pig husbandry. He has additional experiences ranging from system management to production management, as well as training facility staff and auditing on-farm processes.
“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to support producers as they transition into or maintain electronic sow feeding and other automated systems,” says Drew. “Joining the Nedap team allows me to share my passion for the industry and guide producers to be the most profitable they can be.”
Nedap offers a full-line of automated feeding and management systems, including electronic sow feeding, allowing individual management in large groups. Nedap also provides industry-leading consultation, employee training, application support and service.
