GreengageOne of the leading suppliers of innovative lighting for livestock farming, Greengage Lighting Ltd, has acquired all the assets and intellectual property rights of Isotera, designers and manufacturers of power and control systems for LED lighting in a rescue deal.

Isotera, based at St Neots in Cambridgeshire, developed the iPower inductive energy technology that reduces the installation cost to compensate for the increased outlay of LED lighting.

Edinburgh-based Greengage Lighting was founded in 2008 and specialises in providing state-of-the-art lighting and sensors, particularly for the poultry and pig sectors, to improve productivity and benefit animal welfare.

“The strategic acquisition of Isotera’s assets, trade marks and intellectual property rights will ultimately enhance and add increased value to our current Greengage product portfolio,” said Steve Parsons, chief executive of Greengage.

“We welcome this opportunity to take ownership of Isotera’s assets and look forward to exploiting their potential in existing and new global markets. Isotera’s trade marks and intellectual property will strengthen our status as a leading LED light and sensor provider for livestock farming.”
