Continuing with its commitment to the control of PRRS, HIPRA and 3tres3 have introduced a new channel of communication to enable veterinarians, producers and students to get in touch with a group of experts on PRRS and to ask questions relating to the disease.
More than 25 years after the appearance of the PRRS, control of the disease remains one of the major challenges in pig production. This new channel has come about in order to expand knowledge of the control of PRRS and also, from an economic perspective, to examine in depth the return on investment expected from the control measures that are put in place.
The experts who are co-operating in this initiative represent some of the principle pig-producing countries: Enric Marco (Swine Consultant, Spain), Thomas W. Vahlenkamp (University of Leipzig, Germany), Tomasz Stadejeck (University of Biological Sciences, Warsaw, Poland), Pedro Lopes (Lusófona University of Humanities and Technology, Portugal) and Enric Mateu (Autonomous University of Barcelona, CReSA, Spain).
