Hypor, the pig breeding division of Hendrix Genetics announced today that it has signed a genetic distribution agreement with Bricelyn, MN based American pig breeder, LSG Health Systems. The alliance will make high health semen from various Hypor genetic lines available to the US market and will create an immediate increase in production and sales of high health Hypor F1 gilts. This new alliance with local market focus is consistent with Hypor’s mission as “The World’s Local Breeder” and backed by the worldwide leading R & D of Hendrix Genetics.

LSG Health Systems has built a reputation for having one of the most progressive swine health systems in the US industry and this agreement provides Hypor a solid supply base for the American market with increased multiplication facilities, a Bio-safe AI stud and an embryo-transfer laboratory.

Gerjan van Alst, General Manager Hypor Americas sees the distribution agreement with LSG Health Systems as a partnership of like minded breeding stock companies with a commitment to provide American producers with a product that makes them money at the packers while saving them money in the barn. “Producers across the globe are seeing the bottom line benefits of Hypor products. With a growing demand for Hypor genetics throughout the world, international partnerships are the logical approach to continued supply growth and the LSG facilities are well situated to meet the needs of our current and future American customers,” said van Alst.

Brent Legred, President of LSG Health Sytems, states, ”Maintaining the Gold Standard in high health status through traditional and non-traditional transfer of genetics has been the key focus of our company. Customers appreciate and have complete confidence in the quality of our products arriving at their farms. We now look forward to building upon our success with the introduction of the Hypor program. Utilizing their massive research and product development systems ensures that our extensive distribution network will now reap the benefits of like minded partners."

Today’s announcement fits with Hypor’s strategy to have leading positions in significant pork production markets throughout the world.
