The IPVS2020 Organizing Committee - 26th edition of the International Pig Veterinary Society Congress, officially announces the change of the conference venue to the city of Rio de Janeiro.

ABRAVES - Brazilian Pig Veterinary Society - which is in charge of the organization of the IPVS2020 in Brazil, decided to move the IPVS2020 away from the main animal protein producing area of the country to preserve the national pig breeding stock health status. This decision is one of the measures to mitigate the risks of pathogen transmission due to the transit of people to the event and has the support of the Brazilian pork industry and SEAPPA/RJ – State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Supply of Rio de Janeiro.

In this way, we hope to reassure the pig community and, thus, accomplish, together, the organization of a memorable event which will certainly become a milestone of the world pig industry. We thank you for your trust and will see you between June 2nd to 5th, 2020 in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

More information will be sent soon.
