Improving Profitability through Sow Management was the theme of the roadshow organized to create greater awareness on Livestock Philippines 2017. This roadshow was held last April 28 at Widus Hotel and Casino, Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga.
Discussions were led by three well-known speakers and consultants in the swine industry. The seminar started with the opening remarks and introduction of Livestock Philippines by Ms. Duangcheewan Jaikla, UBM Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd.'s Sales and Marketing Manager. A lively and very interesting talk was conducted by Dr. Pariwat Poolperm of Kasetsart University in Thailand who tackled key factors in improving piglets' survival rate. Neovia Philippines had their head of technical support Dr. Michael Pasco who shared about improving piglet birthweight and litter homogeneity by proper sow management. Dr. Emmanuel Tanael, CJ Farms Solutions Manager, discussed some tips on how to manage high prolific sows.
This roadshow together with Poultry and Feeds roadshows are a prelude to Livestock Philippines 2017 and these roadshows are some of the many ways on how Livestock Philippines will help the farming community to gain new knowledge to improve their livestock production.
