TOPIGSTOPIGS is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Sallevelt as Director International AI & Business Development. Jan Sallevelt has a gained a wealth of experience in the pig industry and AI, in particular. For 17 years, he was the director of Varkens K.I Nederland, the leading Dutch AI organisation and sister company of TOPIGS. Before that he held various positions in the international pig genetics business.

Jan SalleveltThe appointment of Jan Sallevelt fits in with the strategic plans of TOPIGS to realise a strong growth in its AI activities over the next years. Within this strategy Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands will host the leading AI organisations within TOPIGS. These will serve as centres of excellence to support the expansion of TOPIGS' AI activities worldwide, especially in Asia. These centres of excellence will provide support in the areas of innovation, knowledge and service. This will enable TOPIGS to optimally respond to market and research developments.

With a production of more than 1,100,000 crossbred gilts and over 7 million doses of semen per year, TOPIGS is one of the biggest genetics suppliers in the world. In several countries, TOPIGS is either the market leader or one of the major suppliers. TOPIGS stands for progress in pigs.
