Kemin Industries, Inc., enters the veterinary market with the launch of a new division, Kemin Vet Innovations. The new division will provide products, solutions and services for the veterinary community serving the livestock, poultry, equine and companion animal markets worldwide.

This business unit will be led by Andrew Yersin, former director of research and development for Kemin AgriFoods North America. As president of Kemin Vet Innovations, Yersin brings a rich background of animal health industry experience including a Ph.D. in Avian Patho-Physiology and nearly 20 years of experience in related industries.

“This is an exciting addition to Kemin’s growing global presence,” says Yersin. “We look forward to expanding our product offerings across regions and supporting the veterinary market with innovative, molecular solutions. As part of Kemin Industries, we will be driven by Kemin’s vision, values and commitments. We will strive to provide the best value to our customers and the animal health industry by providing quality services and by supporting veterinarians and live production operations.”

Kemin Vet Innovations will have its home office located at Kemin’s corporate headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa and will have additional representation in the Middle East, China, Mexico, India and Asia Pacific.
