Miratorg invests 1.5 billion rubles to extend pork production in Kursk region

Miratorg has been developing a large-scale project to double its current pork production capacity to 1 million tons in live weight.

Miratorg, Russia’s pork producer No. 1, informs it invests 1.5 billion rubles to extend pork production in Pristenskiy district of Kursk region – a new farm with a capacity of 12 thousand tons per year will be open at the beginning of 2019.

Miratorg has been developing a large-scale project to double its current pork production capacity to 1 million tons in live weight. The company builds the vertically integrated production chain: plant growing, feed mill plants, livestock ranchos and the largest slaughtering and processing complex in Russia located in Chernitsino settlement, Kursk region.

Kursk region with 20 pig farms already holds a 25 per cent share in Miratorg production - 109 thousand tons of pork in live weight in 2017. The local division enjoys shows high performance as farms are maintained according to the top standards in terms of biosafety and husbandry.

" The new farm plans means 52 new jobs for local people. Employees of the pig-breeding site will be provided with stable job, benefits and decent salary in average higher than in region and industry”, – holding’s press center says.
