MSD Animal Health, as a new sign of its commitment to the training of the professionals specialised in the pig sector, has developed an innovative mobile App that can be used as an aid for the diagnosis of swine diseases.

With the help of 333 and the support of Alejandro Ramírez, from the Iowa State University, we have created this App in English and Spanish, completely free during its launching stage, and that includes:

  1. A guide in which the main swine diseases are described one by one.
  2. A pathology atlas, where images of the lesions caused by these diseases can be seen. You will be able to filter the images according to their location and disease.
  3. A diagnostic tool. You only have to select the most relevant symptoms seen in the affected animals and their age group. A list of possible diseases will appear, sorted by their probability, and it will become shorter as you add more symptoms. Clicking on the name of each disease you will access a detailed description of it with images of the most common lesions.

You must bear in mind that this tool cannot replace the expert opinion of a veterinarian.

You can download it, for free, on Play Store or App Store.
