NedapHere, Nedap Pig Performance Testing - a solution particularly aimed at the breeding sector - will be introduced onto the French market for the first time. In addition Nedap will present the Rapide V-Scan: a handheld reader which enables even faster reading and entering data of individual animals. And furthermore, the focus will be placed on an update of the Nedap Technical Platform for the Pig Farming Sector: Velos 3.15 with the new features that it now offers. You are most welcome to view these innovations at SPACE.

Nedap Pig Performance Testing for the Breeding Sector

With Nedap Pig Performance Testing, Nedap presents a solution with a particular focus on the breeding sector. This system automatically registers the growth and feed intake of each pig. This makes it easy to identify the best performing animals and selection is made simple; based on the most important production characteristics.

What makes Nedap Pig Performance Testing unique is the high accuracy of data collection, the ease of operating use in the barn, and the safeguarding of valuable information on a central server. The system continuously monitors the specific weight of the feed and automatically stops when there is no feed. The animals are kept in small social groups; similar to regular housing of finishers.

Nedap Rapide V-Scan

The new Nedap Rapide V-Scan is a further development of the original Nedap V-Scan. This handheld reader makes it possible to recognise individual animals and to view data. Specifically it enables entering animal data in a much easier and faster manner per activity; such as information regarding new sows, insemination dates and location changes.

In order to add data, it was previously needed to scroll through menus per individually recognised animal. With the use of the Nedap Rapide V-Scan these actions are no longer required, as first of all the activity can be selected, and subsequently the animals concerned are identified and data is entered. A useful innovation tool which benefits the daily practices in the barn.

Update Nedap Technical Platform for the Pig Farming Sector

The Nedap Technical Platform for the Pig Farming Sector is a scalable and flexible system; it links mechanisation and automation on the basis of electronic individual animal identification to one single management system. This system allows tracking and managing of the complete cycle of the animal. Applications such as Electronic Sow Feeding, Sow Heat Detection, Sow Separation but also Pig Performance Testing and Pig Sorting can all be utilised through this platform, either as a stand-alone or as a combination of methods.

The possibilities of this platform are constantly evolving. Based on insights from the market Nedap has once again launched a platform update: Velos 3.15. This version offers a link with the Isagri Management Package. As an additional benefit it is now possible to view the operations in the own

barn(s) from anywhere in the world through a secure and direct login - making the farm and any employees very easy to manage.

Nedap’s solutions enable sustainable growth for livestock producers - with a healthy balance between work, profit and welfare. Nedap. Vital element for growth
